Salty River Co. is the dream of Dabney and Kevin Estile to combine their passions, skills, and their family's love of all things water to create a line of clothing honoring their East Coast roots. Dabney is a professional graphic designer and custom creates all the designs, and with Kevin's business and sales skills they have launched Salty River Co. We hope you find joy in our creations!

Salty For Dabney

It all began in the 1930s

Driven by the frustration of a particularly hot Charlotte summer, Dabney’s great-grandfather purchased a beachfront cottage on Wrightsville Beach, NC. This cottage became a fixture for generations to swim in the waves, fish on the shore, and enjoy boating on the tides of the Atlantic. After a devastating hurricane, the Elliot family moved their beach home to Topsail Beach, NC where they continue their deep traditions of centering generations with a love of the beach. 

River for Dabney

It all began in the 1960s

Dabney’s grandparents wanted to bring their love of water and boating closer to home. From the mid-1960s, they spent weekends with their growing family in a small fishing cabin on Lake Wylie, near Charlotte, NC. They brought the joy of swimming, boating, skiing and fishing to countless family and friends over the decades. In 2000, Dabney’s parents left the city and built a permanent house attached to the original cabin. Their extended family and grandchildren have continued to enjoy the riches of "The River."

Salty For Kevin

It all began in the 1970s

Kevin was born in in Fort Lauderdale, FL, just minutes from the beach. His family spent every weekend swimming in the waves, exploring the shore and vacationing along the coast. His earliest memories are of picnics on the beach with his parents.

River for Kevin

It all began in the 1980s

Kevin moved with his family to Nashville, TN where he lived on Old Hickory Lake and quickly embraced Lake Life and fresh water fishing. Kevin also regularly visited family in Erie, PA where he would spend summers fishing and boating with his grandfather and uncle on Lake Erie.
